I know that SSH from the command line is easy enough, but would like to give my students that use OS X a GUI option. Is there a PuTTY equivalent for the Mac? First cool thing that everybody knows already: Mac OSX is based on Unix so you get ssh out of the box. Second cool thing you may not know: OS X 10.5 actually also comes with an ssh key agent (ssh-agent).That means that, without any additional software (like PuTTY Agent on Windows.), Mac OSX can actually load an encrypted private key into memory and remember it for all subsequent connections.
Putty is one of the best terminal emulators available today. It supports different types of network protocols such as SSH, FTP, SCP, Telnet, etc. In Windows, it is used as SSH client to connect to your Linux server, or for some other purpose. But what will you do if you are on Mac? You might be wondering if there is any software like Putty available for Mac? The answer is yes!
With the help of some other applications, we can use putty on Mac, although Putty is used widely on Windows platform. Official versions of Putty are available on Unix-like platforms, and now it's widely available for Mac systems running OS X 10.11 or later. SSH is available by default on Mac, Linux, or Unix. Although you can use Terminal.app for SSH connections, there are still some benefits to using Putty such as other clients' failure to keep connections live, whereas Putty does. Also it is cool to use Putty as your SSH client if you are doing some Amazon AWS, VMware ESXi or CISCO stuff, transferring files, managing files on a server, or whatever.
Currently, the NAM module on the AnyConnect 3.0 product replaces the Cisco Secure Services Client (CSSC). Refer to Network Access Manager (Replacement for CSSC) for more information. There is no current plan to enable NAM to support MAC OSX platform. Cisco anyconnect client for mac.

Have you tried Terminal? Open your root volume(usually called Macintosh HD), then Applications, then Utilities, and then Terminal. From there, you can type 'ssh $REMOTE_HOST_NAME', without quotes and replacing $REMOTE_HOST_NAME with the system you want to connect to.
